Today’s environmental issues on your construction site are much different than they were just two years ago. There is a renewed enforcement effort that is coming at a time that has everyone tightening his or her belt. Increasing regulatory pressures combined with reduction of staff leaves the builder/developer at an increased risk of heavy fines for not staying in compliance with EPA’s mandate to perform self-inspections regarding sediment and erosion controls. These inspections called Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections are being monitored mostly at the state level.
