BlueWing BioHavens Meet 2011 Bay Nutrient Reduction Goals
In 2009, the Chesapeake Bay program published a set of Nutrient Reduction Goals for every state in the Bay watershed. These goals were to be implemented and achieved by 2011, now less than a year away. Based on the existing scientific studies and known scientific principles of bioremediation, phytoremediation and hydroponics, we have looked at the potential for the BioHaven©Floating Island technology to meet these goals within the Bay watershed. The information HERE quantifies what Biohaven Floating Island technology will do to reduce nutrient loads in the Chesapeake Bay, in addition to the invaluable benefits of habitat creation, wave energy attenuation and aesthetics. READ FULL REPORT BlueWing Environmental Solutions & Technology, offering Innovative Water Quality Solutions for all parts of the watershed, from the top to the bottom.
BlueWing Environmental Solutions and Technology, LLC (BlueWing) is an innovative technology company dedicated to using technology to address significant environmental and water quality problems. BlueWing is continually looking for new and innovative technologies and ideas to bring to the environmental and water quality restoration community. Currently, our technologies address the following issues: sediment laden water and erosion from construction sites (CCEIS Stormwater Compliance Tool), failing stormwater infrastructure and stream erosion (Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance - RSC systems) and nutrient imbalanced waterways and poor water quality (BioHaven Floating Treatment Wetlands). We take pride in providing the highest quality customer service by implementing innovative solutions to meet our client’s environmental needs. BlueWing utilizes its extensive environmental consulting experience to address regulatory compliance and water quality standards that drive water quality improvement and habitat restoration efforts of our waterways. BlueWing has established personal relationships with Federal, State and local personnel responsible for addressing water quality issues throughout the Chesapeake Bay and beyond. We can also provide guidance in determining the most appropriate method of funding our technologies and projects.
