Green Building is no longer a west coast fad. It is becoming the norm across the country and is a step in the right direction for preserving vital natural resources that we use and rely on every day. Not only are buildings (commercial and residential) being built to a higher environmental standard, but the communities these structures are built in are planned and designed to be more in tune with nature. Many are espousing this new environmental ethic, and are striving to live in greater harmony with nature rather than dominate it. We at BlueWing wholeheartedly support this effort and have a LEED-AP on staff. There are numerous green building standards available to build to and several can be used to comply with State and local building regulations. Our years of experience with the building community, being in tune with new and developing technologies and familiarity with growing environmental concerns in regards to water quality protection, make us uniquely qualified to advise on appropriate green building measures.
