BlueWing's Kevin Hedge Named as as Innovator of the Year for 2011 by The Daily RecordKevin Hedge, Managing Partner of BlueWing Environmental Solutions & Technologies, has been named one of 2011's Innovators of the Year by The Daily Record.
Since 2002, The Daily Record has recognized Maryland businesses and individuals who have had a positive effect and tremendous impact in Maryland. This year’s Innovators will be honored at a reception Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. BlueWing BioHavens Meet 2011 Bay Nutrient Reduction Goals
In 2009, the Chesapeake Bay program published a set of Nutrient Reduction Goals for every state in the Bay watershed. These goals were to be implemented and achieved by 2011, now less than a year away. Based on the existing scientific studies and known scientific principles of bioremediation, phytoremediation and hydroponics, we have looked at the potential for the BioHaven©Floating Island technology to meet these goals within the Bay watershed.
